An swr meter to tune the antenna and a very good ground are essential with CBs. I’m guessing the same is true for the ground on GMRS/HAMM, but I don’t know about tuning the antenna for them. I haven’t run either of those before, just a CB years ago in my truck.

I’m actually looking at running the uniden CMX760. It’s very similar to the cobra 75. That way I can mount it hidden and just have the mic out. For GMRS and hamm I was thinking about the front seats.

I was taught and primarily use handtools, but do have a few power tools for any big tasks or time sensitive projects. Just need a workshop for them and my jeep! 🤬

Since I am waiting on parts and until I can feel a little better I got my hands on an old tool to restore. It’s a Stanley number 151 type 4 made from 1923-1936. It’s in pretty great condition for only being $25!

The second of three boxes arrived with more brake lines. Just waiting on the last one and I can put them on. I miss driving my Jeep!

New extended front brake lines. Still waiting on the two rear lines and the center line.

I have used a set of preset ones before. I liked it because I could put them on the stems, open them and chat until they stop letting air out. Then just unscrew and put them away. Saved my back for sure.

Mine made the p/s rear grab last month and I though ok in the next couple months. Yea, that changed on Tuesday. It was REALLY hot when I got back. Oh well, I don’t have enough to do what I want to do, but this will do just fine until I can replace the calipers, rotors, pads and e brake shoes.

Finally got around to ordering brake lines. I’m replacing all 5 of the rubber lines. Going stock for the rears, and extended for the fronts so I don’t have to do them again later on.

And of course I’m on the other end of the country! 😢 There’s always next year though. Looks like a ton of fun!

That’s good to know about the reels not staying put with just a strap. I wouldn’t want my nice reels getting beat up. Love the adaptation to overcome the problem!

I was thinking of using a Velcro cord strap to hold my fishing rods to the roll bar. That works just as well!

That’s a good point! I didn’t check the e brake at all when I did the rotors. It grabs normal, but I will definitely give that a look too. I’m probably going to put it on stands this weekend and take a look at everything. Thank you WJCO!
