Mine has only been used twice. 1. Once to lift the bumper and body. It was a one time thing. A bottle jack would not have done the job. 2. To keep people from asking where my hi- lift jack is. It's stored securely on my roll bar, out of the way.

Totally agree. Just replaced the front leaf springs on my 84 J10. Only issue I had was the springs did not include U bolts. Keep in mind the U bolts may not all be the same size. I learned the hard way, when I had 4 made at one size. Just happens the 1 u bolt I used for size reference...

Neither right or wrong, I've heard opinions both ways. Chevy Silverado 1500 is rated to tow 5500-9400 lbs. Similar ratings for Ford F150. Chevy Silverado 2500 and 3500 are rated to tow 13,000 to 14,000 lbs. Similar ratings for Ford F250 and F350. My car hauler is rated up to 7000 lbs...
