    Baby seat headrest problem?

Did you remove the springs, or just tied it back? Zimm, You can pull the two springs from each headrest, and maintain its functionality. I did the bungee cord trick for a while, but this is much cleaner. When this is done, they stay down for better visibility, but can be pulled up, and will...

    E Locker wiring

Two of the wires are for switching, and the other two are to indicate a successful lock state. Looks like YL/LB and DB/YL is the indicator and YL/DR and BK is the locker solenoid.

    Jk Cb mounting positions.

It looks like the dimensions are the same, with Uniden being ever so slightly smaller, you should be good to go. I routed the wiring back to an auxiliary fuse/relay panel that in installed behind the glove box. For a simple wiring setup, i recommend pulling signal from the cigarette lighter...

    Front brake line extensions routing

I still have the stock brake line, but i found a trick to add a few more inches for my lift. I used an insulated P-clip drilled into the edge of the spring perch. This keeps it away from both the spring and the shock and safe from any trail obstacles. (shock is removed in this picture) That...

    Jk Cb mounting positions.

This is an option to keep it mostly out of the way. I thought of it as wasted space anyways, with that crappy mesh bag and tiny coin-tray The mounting bracket is bolted to the lower panel, and the antenna cable fits through a hole drilled in the coin tray. The best part is, if i ever take it...

Door storage options for less than $30

Ive got... an idea. Still needs some design work before I start welding. I want it to work both as a garage door stand, with a hitch.

    Compressor plumbing

Just use some regular air hose. I used a cheap 25' line, 3/8" line, used the two crimped 1/4" fittings for the chucks, then cut it in the middle to T in the pump and tank.

    Best DIY jk mods??

Are we doing good, or cheap? Here's a nice mix of both. Center console Switch Mod. 3/4" amazon switches, and cut the metal tabs to fit over the circuit board. RAM Ball mount phone holder. The faux allen head screw comes right out, easy to replace. Cargo bay power. Lets face it, the best...

    On board air JKU

The CKSA12 is under 1 CFM and 35% duty cycle, The CKMA12 is about 3 CFM at 50% duty cycle. but $300 for an air compressor?! I know youre paying for quality, but damn, thats a bit much. I know one shouldn't skimp on quality, but I gotta pick my battles. Ill save "quality" for safety items...

    On board air JKU

If you don't mind a little bit of hands-on, I built a true onboard air system for about $100. Compressor hidden in the rear quarter panel, the engine bay is cramped enough as it is. There's barely any noise from the compressor, and I don't have to lift the hood to hook up. Tank hanging...

Mesh Door Pocket Replacement: Any good ideas?

That looks nice! All my mesh sacks (gigity) are blown out too. I was going to play the cheap route and use some amazon molle pouches. Ended up hanging them on the seat adjuster bar, keeps them quite hidden. Perhaps those fold up drop-pouches might be a neat try. Amazon cheapo ($14...

    Wall plug

By the Hazard button in the center console? no. It wont work. Not only are those covers too small for an AC outlet, but there is still a circuit board across the entire module. It took a lot of work to just fit a few simple switches. Your best bet would be to fit a single outlet to the right...

    Wall plug

Could work. This brings up an interesting topic of reactive loads. An inverter typically has two values to its capacity. One called "Peak", Usually 150% of the regular load. This A coffee maker is a resistive load, constant pull. As long as its wattage is below the regular value, you'll be...

    Wall plug

For those of us without a Rubicon... Yes, it's not that hard to install an inverter. Here, I mounted mine under my DIY privacy cover in the rear. I have since upgraded to a 750Watt (1000 watt peak) inverter. To find the best one for your needs you need to do a little math to find the size you...

    Add-Ons questions

Sorry BruggyMonster, i have been ignoring this thread cause i thought you were still on the first topic. But I do have a comment on the rear light wiring (from two months ago, wow) If you want to prevent your reverse lights from coming on with the switch, you could wire it just a bit...

    Uses for unused console switch

You can fit a switch in there, as long as it clears the circuit board underneath it. I used a cheap amazon switch, it fits in there just barely. cut the metal tabs in the back and solder the wires flush to clear the board. the 3/4" hole was dremeled out and cover glued into place.
