Ultimate Dana 44's ? Are they worth it ?

Yup, i am still thinking it through since with dynatrac i am going to be tying up about $20k for a year (turn around time) or to just go with dana 60/80 setup (those seem to be pretty much ready to go) - i hear really good things about the Dynatrac's. My thing is - its going ot cost upwards of...

Ultimate Dana 44's ? Are they worth it ?

The rubicon axles aren't really any stronger - they are just wider (on Gladiators anyway) and come with lockers already installed

Ultimate Dana 44's ? Are they worth it ?

Seems to me like the right answer here is for me to stop being a bitch and just put up with what I have and order 1 tons - upgrade once is cheaper than paying for all these upgrades that I KNOW i will end up replacing a year or so down the line.

Ultimate Dana 44's ? Are they worth it ?

My deducation was based on the quote I got for lockers , gears and chromoly axle shafts (including fad delete) was around $4k per axle - ultimate dana 44's could be had for around $4500 with the gears i want with the wider track and lockers already installed and ready to go, was going to also...

Ultimate Dana 44's ? Are they worth it ?

So as I've posted before I am going through a set of upgrades and I was looking at the cost of upgrading gears, adding lockers, stronger axles and knuckles - all in the cost was about what it would cost (or negligible) to just swap the whole axle out for a Ultimate Dana 44 (or a Prorock 44)...

    History brochure

I remmember visiting the Jeep dealer when i was young - don't have anything that old still have old ZJ, YJ, and XJ brochures. IIRC all jeeps back then had solid axles front and rear. There was a big hoopla over the unibody Jeeps (don't know if anyone remembers the old timers being upset about...

Anyone installed the EVO Overland Control Arm Brackets?

Man that is exactly where I want to be at (for now) with the flex - I will have my ridge grapplers on this coming week - i settled on terraflex wheel spacers (will be installing them all around). Looks like you stuck with the stock flares but with a chop ?"

Finally got my Rubicon flares installed (and ready for bigger tires)

Exactly what I am shooting for. There is so much room there now - it looks like i am riding on skateboard wheels. It looks so much better now as well - i can see the fenders from the cab easier so i know where i am placing my tires. Now the challenge is finding a place around me that has 37's...

Finally got my Rubicon flares installed (and ready for bigger tires)

IMO this is a must for anyone who has a non Rubicon/Mojave. I am not sure if the rivet gun i was using was faulty or I suck at it (I've done normal rivets before and wasnt that bad at it). But invest in a decent plastic rivet gun if you want clean factory looking plastic rivets. I didn't need...

    Long Arms (and Coilovers)

Yup I seen that - but it seems like a whole lot of work to bolt on new mounts - you still have to cut the old mounts off it looks like - after reading through and watching the process - i am willing to bet it will be easier (if you can weld ofcourse) and more secure to just weld the new control...

    Long Arms (and Coilovers)

Yup, its a shame that they don't offer a Gladiator with a v8 option - but I am perfectly content with the 3.6. The OD gears on the 8 speed are really really tall (I am guessing for fuel economy reasons).

Wanting to upgrade to Dynatrac 60/80's W/40's or Equivalent. Advice please!

You don't feel trusses help beef up axle tubes ? The main issue I've seen on current stock axles is the axles bending (aside from ring gears/pinions) right around where the fad mounts, wouldn't a good truss setup help eliminate/reduce this break point ? My main reason for not upgrading to 1...

    Long Arms (and Coilovers)

I can't wait to see how this turns out. I know its more involving to install (and i'll probably have a shop do this) but the results are deff worth it.
