    Opinions needed on paint

Honestly, probably won't last that long but in that spot, I'd put that nonslip outdoor staircase grip tape.

    Opinions needed on paint

Why not? Nothing you put on (including powdercoat) will survive rubbing on a rock. I would use bedliner because I like the textured look, but plastidip is just as practical looks wise, and just as weak as anything else when introduced to rocks. Both plastidip and bedliner are great in terms...

    Opinions needed on paint

Nothing holds up to offroading (rubbing on rocks). Most use either spray on bedliner in a can, or flat spray paint. I personally love plastidip.

    JK HID's

JWs are very nice lights, but are very expensive, and they are far from the best output wise. I will agree that they look the business. I have seen them in person, and IMHO, the trucklites are better lights for the money (output wise.) DOT doesn't mean much in terms of quality (remember, the...

You bet. D2S bulbs aren't like the rest...they have their own "weird" connectors. However, since they ARE so commonly used in OEM applications, you can get ultrahigh quality units (denso, philips, osram, etc) for a reasonable price if you look hard enough...even at junkyards.

    JK HID's

Stock vs Sealed7 That wire harness needs to be pushed out of the way...this is on the 3.8L...not sure if the pentastar is different. These lights were made with the JK in mind, as there is a monster demand for a proper HID setup, so you will see more and more JKs running them, and ironing...

    JK HID's

Shrouds are just a decorative cover to hide the guts behind the projector. It's all about personal taste. No real function change...some look better with light behind them, some not (halos). I personally like Apollos and gattling gun style. As for the strength, I love the output from 55W...

If you can wait, these are the headlights that people are waiting for.... a true bixenon D2S projector system that isn't a "modified" unit. I already have HIDprojectors in my Jeep, but if I didn't I would definitely go with these. I've had my projectors on my first jeep, then transferred them...

    Hood mount vs windshield mount

Hood mounted lights you can only have spots, as floods will glare like crazy and cut off 50% of the beam. I have D2s that are slightly angled outward to illuminate my peripheral, a 50" spot on the roof for 1 mile of straight ahead, and a 10" flood on the fairlead for the immediately in front of...

    Evo 1 vs. Raptor

Honest question (I don't know the details of EVO1)...is an evo1 still really " a jeep" or is it like this.... Obviously no one here would call the above "a civic"...which is why Im curious to know if Evo1 is still "a jeep" or is it a jeep shell with brand new everything underneath and the...

Should I push my axle back?

Hey guys, just wanted some opinions...I have an AEV 2.5 (under full weight) and it *looks* like my rear axle was pulled forward (Im sure it was)...just curious if you guys think I should do something about it and push it back? I don't have any drivability issues or anything, but like things...

    Turbo 3.6 is coming!

Can't wait to see the numbers...I'd venture to say somewhere in the 400hp/400tq at the wheels.... Interested to see how much this kit will run, but unlike the superchargers, this should make good power where the Jeep needs it, down low.
