Congrats. I picked me up this 47 this last weekend. Working on the wheel bearings right now and some other minor things. Other than that it's pretty much in excellent condition. Only 1750 original miles on it.

So the 92 non e10 gas and a additive and the motor will stay happy? Not sure if motor has been rebuilt or what. With only 1700 miles on it, I'm leaning towards the no side. Second owner said he never touched the motor. Forgot to ask what type of gas he's been using in it

On a side note here what is everybody using for gasoline in these older Flathead engines I have access to 92 octane non-ethanol fuel should I use this with the lead substitute additive in the tank

Thanks yeah I'm trying to think of a good name for it I actually have a friend around here who is an appraiser I was going to have him look at it and give me an idea what it is worth

Awesome. Quick question. On that tan one. What are those 2 brackets for. The one by the gas fill and the other at the back of the tub. Haven't done a super amount of research on these things yet.

I sure did. Got lucky to have found it. I'm the third owner now and it has 1750 original miles. Talked with previous owner this morning. Come to find out he bought it from a farmer only 2 miles from our hometown. So all its life has been around my hometown. I live in a small town of...
