What was updated with Warn PowerPlant changes a couple years ago?

No problem, I understand. When I first got the jeep about 2 1/2 years ago I noticed that the cable was not tight so I went to do so. Well it was dusk and as I was bringing the cable in I noticed sparks where I told you to look, then it just quit. I went on their website and got the instructions...

What was updated with Warn PowerPlant changes a couple years ago?

I would have to take the cover and the contactor off to do that but it is right on the top of the motor itself at the very front. If you look under everything on the left side facing the front of the winch you can just barely see it.

What was updated with Warn PowerPlant changes a couple years ago?

From what I was told by the Warn rep I spoke to they upgraded the "contactor and electronics" to make them more robust. My Jeep came with the 9500 version and I will say in all honesty that I have had it repaired twice now, both on Warns dime. The first was due to loose connections from the...

    Rock Jock Anti-Rock issues/concerns

I have the Rock Jock Anti-Rock system on my 2004 TJ Rubicon and a friend pointed out in a picture that my axle was not really flexing like it should. He suggested that we flex it connected and disconnected so we did out at Charlie's Place. Found a sloped rock and drove the passenger front up the...

    My spare tire winch setup

One option we came up with was a long steel pole that you would put thru the center of the rim and put in a hole on the spare tire mount and lift it that way, but again your lifting the spare so we nixed that idea. Thought I would throw the idea out anyway in case one of you likes it. :)

    SSHHHH, don't tell my friends

SSHHHH, don't tell my friends. LOL I am seriously considuring selling my TJ and getting a new JK and I am leaning towards the Unlimited 4 door Rubicon. Of course I have a few questions that are more personal preference, not technical, and yes I saw the FAQ post and it looks like it will answer...

    Trailer question for CA guys

OK here is my 0.02, if you moved the ID tag (your VIN BTW) to the new trailer you have nothing to worry about, it is still a traile,r that has not changed and since the DMV is only worried about the VIN and the plate number your golden. Enjoy your trailer!

    My spare tire winch setup

I think you meant cool, right? LOL Yes, the winch does remove from the mounting plate using keyholes and the buttons on the back side of the winch, ref pic #4. So I have the main stand with the "T", the arm with the plate, the winch, and it's controller. I have a HD bag that I put the winch...

    My spare tire winch setup

After about killing myself trying to get my 35” spare back on the tire swing and the fact I don’t want to get another hernia, I’ve had 3 in the last 5 years, I have been thinking of a way to lift my spare using a winch of some sort. So I buy a 2000 LB, 12VDC ATV winch with a wired remote and...

    My fuel transfer solution

I have always wanted a better way of putting the gas I carry into my Jeep without having to loosen my spare to get my jerry can out and thought, what about an electric fuel pump? No more lifting the can, spilling some and smelling like gas for the rest of the day. Not to mention those damned...

[Q] YJ to CJ7 Tailgate Conversion Latch

So are you converting the tailgate from a swing open to a drop down? If yes then the OEM latch should do you, I have seen this done on many YJ's and it is a cool mod. But if your OEM latch is not working/missing then yes it will do the trick, just pad the padlock or you will hear it clunking...

Well wouldn't you know, my compressor does not work! Went to air up on New Years Day and the motor spins but the compressor does not work, winch works but no air. Bummer. Spoke via email to a Warn guy and they will pick the winch up, repair it and send it back no problems. This will be the...
