I know about the Methods needing a ring spacer for 37's and the Trail Readys are the same, 35's no spacer. 37 needs a spacer. It all depends on the size of the bead your locking, I think its 5/16 or bigger.

Are you referring to the slider legs and the bottom on the pinch weld like in this masterly edited photo ? If so the legs or top of steps are 1/2 inch away from the bottom of the pinch seams.
