I'm going to clean them up with the flap wheel, hit the spots with some more primer..then top coat with por-15 top coat, It was running about the same price as frame paint in the aresol can so I went for it. That should do it imo!

I was considering the cubby location for mine as well when I get to that stage of my build. Something in my brain says if it would be ok to go into the engine compartment then it should be ok to go in the cubby...even considering in the engine bay it would get more natural air flow cooling.
