    Requirements for 40s?

All you need is axles, wheels/tires, drive shafts, an appropriate amount of lift and it would be nice to have front adjustable control arms. I know a guy that is running 42s with short arms so long arms aren’t absolutely necessary, but sure are nice. Here’s a picture of my Jeep on 40s...

Aluminum Inner fenders, more of a cosmetic mod or does it help with cooling?

I think they look bad ass and clean up the front nicely, just get them if you have the cash! Picture:

    King Coilover issues

That looks like a boatload of clearance to me, i would try to put the trackbar in the bracket and test to se if you have any issues with that though. This is how close my piggy back is to the trackbar bracket:

EVO body mount tire carrier questions

You shouldn’t have too much of an issue with 35s, the thing is definitely strong enough to hold a 40 Only issue i have had with it was that the 40 sits low even on the highest setting and if it catches a rock going down a ledge it might catch and bend upward twisting the brackets that hold...

The Build of NABOO the Starfighter JK

Oh man, you will trim a lot and will continue to trim! You are on 40s now which is a whole new ball game, those 3” over 37s makes a big difference. i no longer rub on sheet metal but i still rub on the frame at full lock.

Fender delete, or trim the fenders?

Painted cut fenders can look great, i like mine. I personally hate the way the JKs look without the front fenders, the rear looks good when you cover it up with an outlaw skin of some sort.

    37's, Axles and upgrades

I guess i made the same mistake of buying axle(s) twice. I bought 37s and ran them on my stock rubi44 for about a little less than a year, ended up bending the front stock housing. Bought a PR44 with Prosteer balljoints for my stock internals, regeared to 4.88, went to chromoly axle shafts, Reid...

The Build of NABOO the Starfighter JK

9/16-18 seems to be a standard on 8 lug tons threads, i can’t see how the studs could be any longer than what came on my rear 60, I’m pretty sure they are 3” studs and the wheel (Chamber Pro II) eats some of that up. I originally had some shorter lugs so i broke through the caps of the lugs, i...

    Gobicon

Bubba is saying the only way the original mounts, i installed with the high clearance LA, could have worked was to raise the top mount by cutting into the tub. But what you described is kind of what Bubba did but without the luxury of having the original control arm brackets to work off of...

Build update! After installing the rear coilovers and running it for a couple of weeks it was clear that i did not have enough up-travel and was bottoming out the shocks w/4” bumpstop extensions installed. I had no preload and was sitting pretty high in the rear, i had/have about 2.5” of...

Death Wobble - Caused by Steering Box?

Helped a friend swap his axles with Currie RJ60s F/R, we buttoned everything up and left the steering stabilizer off because we needed to modify the bracket. Test drove the jeep and got full fledged death wobble while braking and hitting a bump. Turned around to make sure everything was tight...
