    Show your ZJ' and WJ's!

Update Well, I guess even though it's not done, it's enough to post a pic here. Same spot in the driveway LOL. Guess I did get a lot done in a month and a half. Although I did have a number of parts sitting around for much longer than that.

Overland & Underpaid a WJ story...

Christmas and the rack Christmas was good Jeep-wise. I got an ARB tire deflater and although it isn't here yet, my wife ordered a ADDCO 1 inch rear sway bar. Stoked for that to come in. Also, from my measurements, the Grand wasn't going to fit in the garage with the Rola rack on. However...

Up on all fours! Good news! I was able to swing the other two tires a couple of weeks early. I was kind of hating seeing it squat so low in the back on the stockers. Even though I did the test fit on one side, it still looks much better with all four bolted on. It almost feels like seeing it...

rough country vs smittybilt Gen 3 winch - what's best for the money

My advice is to get the Warn VR evo 10 with the steel cable. It goes for about $564.00. For a little bit more you can get the 12. If you're good with a Chinese made winch, at least go for the best one made. And it is still in a very affordable price range.

VIDEO : JKX 2020 - Moby Carried Off the Field / PART 4 [POST & WIN SHOT GLASSES]

Seems like I'm always a couple of weeks behind on watching these. While I'm with everyone on the Moby problems sucking, it was the bee sting that got me. I was cringing a little watching the swap out of the control unit. It was like watching a Macy's balloon turn a wrench. Hope that...

    1988 Jeep Grand Wagoneer (Woody)

If you can't find that exact grill, you can always go retro. Pretty easy to swap in grills from anything earlier or from the pickups. I'm partial to a Gladiator swap. With your grill off, you can see that the core support hasn't really changed since the 60's.

Found enough extra money in the budget to purchase two of the new tires I need. Will still have to wait on the others a bit, but I figured why wait and get all 4 at the same time. I only need 2 to test fit. Bit the bullet and just got the 315 70r 17 Nitto Ridge Grapplers. Ended up fitting with...

So much for the simple build... The plan of keeping the Grand a simple project, went right out the window. I had to put things on the back burner for a while, but in the last couple of months I have gotten a few things done. I had installed a 2 inch budget boost and went up one size in tire. I...

    Show your ZJ' and WJ's!

I've had this one for about a year and a half. I don't wan't to put pics up of how it looks now because I have to wait a few months for tires. I have gotten quite a bit done though. I had a 2 inch budget boost and one size up tires for most of the time I've owned it. Now I added a 4 inch long...

CJ5 fender question and assistance needed.

74 fenders won't work, too long. If you look at pics between the two, you'll see that the wheel opening nearly meets the tub on the 70. The 74 has several inches of extra metal there. I believe the extra length was added there to accommodate the V8 option.

Just got to watch this one. Shakedown run... in the same way that D-day was a scuffle. Holy shit that was insane.

Tires! Well, look at that! I actually got something for the WJ. 265 75 R16's They measure 31.65 tall and 10.51 wide. Some call it a 31, some call it a 32. Either way I'm good. I still need wheels and a 4 inch lift. Should be good for all that in the next two months or so. Then I'll work toward...

Steering Wheel Well , I needed a new steering wheel because I hate the cheap autozone covers. Hard to tell in the pics but mine was sticky and really loose/squishy under the worn out leather... simply poor condition. The rest of the interior is so nice that it felt like someone put a shit wheel...

A little something got done at least. After doing some research, I found that lots of people recommend moving the windshield washer reservoir because it is in a bad location and prone to damage. I could see why as it's in the fenderwell behind the front bumper on the drivers side. Bigger tires...

As some of you know, the CJ had been sold due to an unforeseen financial crisis. After working through that, I did have some cash left over from the sale and decided to get a smaller budget minded project that I could drive now and build as I go. I only had about $2500 to work with, so options...
