Had the sliders powder coated and I installed them about a week ago. Pretty happy with how they turned out. The front bump stops finally came off backorder so those are on there too. And I got a couple of "Trail Ready" badges in bronze to sorta match the wheels. Jeep has these things in so many...

    Show your ZJ' and WJ's!

Honestly, getting out and using your Grand is more impressive than doing mods. These things are so much fun stock(ish) or lifted.

Weird when you get all antsy to see the end of a build more than your own. LOL

Sliders I was looking at a bunch of the member build updates and remembered I forgot to post up my new rock sliders. They are form Goliath, same as the front bumper. They make the Jeep look just a little bit lower but not too bad. It's still higher than the lowests parts of the undercarriage...

Hood Stuff Got the hood decals done the way I had envisioned them to be. I have seen on occasion other people do text down one side, be it on the hood itself or the windshield or whatever. I like that look and I think it works for this Jeep. Took it on a couple of really short trips around town...

Got a few thing done. The good news is I have an appointment to get the alignment done along with welding for the tie rod and drag link sleeves. I have a transmission leak they are going to check out, pretty sure it's just the pan gasket seeping. Should be back on the road soon. :fingerscrossed...

Wearing protection Got the rear diff guard powdered and installed. It matches the front nicely. Did the high steer drag link and tierod flip, but still need to get the inserts welded. They said welding recommended, but it's not just recommended, its mandatory. The tie rod ends just spin and...

What did Brown Santa show up with today..

Woo Hoo! I got this today. The WJ gets rid of the dual rzeppa ended crap driveshaft. Always heard good things about Tom Woods driveshafts, so I went with them.

I got the shaft. The new front driveshaft with front and rear yokes got here today. I've always heard good things about Tom Woods, so I went with them. Really nice work in terms of craftsmanship. Hopefully will get it installed this weekend. It's getting there, and I hope to have it driveable...

Orange ya glad you got diff protection? My front diff guard came in and, as expected there is a bit of a clearance issue. The tie rod will hit as it gets closer to the diff when you turn. I was prepared though since I was going to a high steer conversion anyhow. I have the knuckle inserts for...

    Jeep art...

Here's a couple of things I did a long time ago. The first, I think I posted somewhere on another thread when I first started on here. It was an experiment of putting a drawing over a real photo. The other, while not a Jeep, was a thing I did for a friend. It was his dad's truck, which was the...

The web site for the axle skid said I may need spacers for the rear sway bar to fit the part. I figured that for the price, I would just go ahead and order them. Iron Rock has a lot of nice parts for WJ's and these were some of the nicest I've seen for spacers. They got here in about a week...

D44a Protection I've done a bunch of reading on the D44 a axle along with WJCO's posts and comments about it. I know that is a good axle that should hold up for my needs just fine. The one issue with it is the aluminum center section. Apparently, it can get pretty gouged up over rocks and in...

More shocks I went in to pick up the one rear shock that showed up on Friday. While there, I inquired about the other rear shock to see if it was still for sure going to be 10 to 12 weeks out from the mfg. After doing a quick check, my sales guy found that two shocks in my part number had...

Rock out with your shock out! The front shocks arrived today at least, so I swapped those in. Really excited to see how they perform when I can get it on the road. One of the rears is supposed to show up tomorrow but it looks like the other one is getting pushed to backorder status. I'm being...
