    WAYALIFE Old Iron Recovery Rig

Looks to me like the rear wheel wells need to be opened up a little. :ROFLMAO:

    Passenger Side U Joint Broke

Good deal on upgrading from the aluminum knuckles. It took us 6 hours to get this, not mine, off the trail. She had a Reid Racing Knuckle waiting at the trailhead!

    SMORR vs. Flat Nasty?

Hey Guys; This April I am planning on meeting up with a couple from Ft. Worth, TX area. Halfway between Detroit, MI and FTW. 2-4 days worth of wheeling. While we could move around some and that might be our best bet, I think we'd like to stay somewhere that has enough to keep us busy for a...

    What's in your humidor?

I don't smoke, but I have a portable humidor... This is a Tiger Tool used to easily disassemble a U-joint.

    Heating food on your engine.

I've seen someone make a storage similar to the aluminum clipboards that mounts to an engine. The 3.6L I believe. Flip open the lid and place food inside. Should be easy to duplicate if so inclined.

Do you tow your Jeep in a toy-hauler?

I have a Jayco Seneca 36FK Super C. I tow a 20' enclosed trailer. The V-nose isn't counted in the measurements. Overall length is 68' 3". It pulls like a dream, but mountains are a bit of an issue. The 6.7 Cummins is a wonderful engine, but I am asking a lot from it. 33.960 lbs at a CAT scale...

TACTICAL WELDER - Could this be the Ultimate Portable Welder?

For the "Early-Adopters" it's only $5400!!! http://shop.orionsolutionsllc.com/tactical-welder-early-adopter-program.html I really like the idea, but wow is that price a show stopper. A Ready Welder is around $700. http://readywelder.com/products-page/ And of course the infamous Premier Power...

    Winching technique

Making sure you never pull too much rope from your winch drum, there is a simple, cheap, effective solution. A "winch rope retainer strap". Google the phrase. The initial setup is a pain the the butt. However, once its done you never have to fool with it again. The retaining strap makes it...

    Aftermarket Battery Terminals?

Once it's out good enough to ignore the original set screw, I would drill & tap a larger hole & reinstall it. Anti-seize the crap out of it.

Weight of 2 door JK and Front to Rear weight transfer question...

Has anyone else weighed their JK? Mine weighed 2540kg./5599.74 lbs. a few years ago! I was near Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario and happened upon a closed truck weigh station. I drove across and weighed it. WOW. I did a bit of body damage that trip and have since changed out the Bushwacker fender...

    Tow rigs

Thanks. I only wish that the enclosed trailer was another foot taller. It seems like trailers are just never big enough. Although I did just trade in a 40' 5th wheel race trailer! But I couldn't use it w/ my camper.

    Hauling my Jeep

Your money, your trailer. After you've driven the trailer and stopped for a pit stop, put your hand on the sidewall of the front, then rear tire. Feel the difference? Your bearings and brakes will be different temps too. Tires will have a tendency to blow out on the overloaded axle.

    Hauling my Jeep

I don't believe I would want torsion axles on a car or truck hauling trailer. Here's my reasons. 1) Because a typical spring suspension will equalize the cargo weight between the 2 axles. Torsion axles will not. 2) The vehicle you are hauling on the trailer will have its own suspension...

    Tow rigs

Here's mine. I have had 2 ATVs plus my 2 door JK in it. Not fun trying to cram them all in. I bought a deckover flatbed for the next time! Loaded with Jeep in the front or the back, didn't make much difference to the tongue weight.

    Towing Equipment and Safety

It is amazing and befuddling to me that anyone would pull a trailer without a spare tire & the tools to change a flat. I like the Camco Trailer-Aid Plus for lifting the tires. It can also be used as a wheel chock.
