    CA OHV Sticker Required?

I've done a brief search and haven't come up with much other than what is on the CA DMV site. Is a green OHV sticker required here in CA on our Jeeps when on trials such as the Rubicon on the Dusy? Reading on the DMV site makes me think it is required, however, I really haven't seen any talk...

    Rock lights. Yes or no

There are a few more shots in my build thread, but here are a few highlights. The 9W lights are $18 on Amazon for 12 of them. I installed ten total which left me with two spares. Worked out well as one needed to be swapped out. These probably take the trophy for the cheapest thing I've...

    Cordless Impact Gun?

Nice! Same here. I just bought into the 18v Milwaukee "system" with an 18v Fuel impact driver. It has about 135ft/lbs of torque and is perfect for small jobs like taking lugs on and off. Next on the list is the 1/2 Fuel impact wrench. :thumb:

    Mauser gets some EVO swag!

For comparison, here is what my washer stack looks like: Ours look pretty much the same and I would think that as long as the through bolt is tight, that shouldn't be the source of your rattle. Here is what the vertical alignment of the saddle block looks like: Where I notice a big...

    Mauser gets some EVO swag!

Got the rock lights wired up this afternoon! Ended up using 10 of the 12 lights with the intention of keeping two on the shelf as spares. Good thing I kept two off the Jeep because one light ran for about 10min and then called it quits. Doh! The burned out light is the one in front of the...

    Mauser gets some EVO swag!

Got the waist lights installed. I installed them tucked up under/behind the pinch seam pointing at an angle towards its associated wheel. Since these lights are more of a "spot" pattern, I figure having them shoot at the wheel at a good angle will help throw light. We'll see how they look...

    Mauser gets some EVO swag!

Took a nice road trip to NE. California to a friend's cabin this weekend. What's better than a weekend with good friends, shooting, wheeling and cabin camping? :)

    Front Driveshaft Vibrations.... Still

After recently swapping gears to 5.13s and having the front driveshaft changed to a J.E.Reel 1350, I picked up a high frequency, oscillating vibration. Thinking it was driveline angle related, I ditched the AEV Brackets and stock lowers and replaced them with EVO Lower Control Arms. I have...

    Winching 101

I'd be curious why you say this too. The concept is very simple, seems considerably safer than a hook, and they provide a nice way to show the winch. About the only downside I can see is cost.

    Winching 101

What you are referring to is probably the Factor55 links. Rather than a hook, it provides a location for a D-Ring to connect which allows a safe a secure way to connect your strap ends. I have one and have been happy with it, however, it is pricey for what it is.

Lower Control Arm Time (driveline vibes)

Thanks Eddie for all the suggestions! Arms are in and brackets are out! I have to admit, I was a little skeptical about pulling the brackets, but I am really glad I listened. I can tell NO difference between having the brackets and not. And that even includes a little less caster too...
