Sprayed the inner fenders and rocker panels this weekend. Waiting to hear back from the local offroad shop about tires, drive train, and pricing.

Tie Rod So, this past week I tried to adjust my toe in again with a propane torch, PB Blaster and a 2' pipe wrench. I ended up snapping the adjuster anyway. So, the new chromoly tie rod is in today! ...and toe in is finally set :)

Been learning body work on my sisters 1962 Chevy Stepside. The panels were way worse than she thought when she got it. Cool to see some guys on here working on similar stuff!

Took us out to the Glade Top Trail in Mark Twain National Forest Ran into an obstacle we couldn't quite drive over, so it was winch time. We used a snatch block and a couple of tree straps to pull it off to the side. No more tree in the road!

Mine were wearing out and getting some rattles with only 33s. Since my next set will be 35s I took a whack at making my own HD hinges. I used 1/4" steel tailgate hinges off Amazon welded on to the original tailgate brackets and a little extra reinforcement with 3/16" steel plate. Works great so...

The step side has been a real time hog lately. Apparently most of the structure under the primer was foam, Bondo, and crumpled newspaper... a bit more work than I originally thought. Anyway, back to the Jeep; this happened this morning:

So here's where I'm at. I've run out of time for this project. I got the hinges finished up, so I put a few coats of paint on and reinstalled them. I didn't get them tied into the carrier like I wanted yet, but that'll just be a project for another time. The hinges work well, they do sag...

Not a Jeep, but it's got just as much ground clearance lol Saw it just driving through town. Must be a DD haha

Finally got the mounting points drilled and countersunk. Doing it without a drill press was probably a mistake. The holes were off by just a hair. When I tried to mount it on the first couple of times I fucked up the threads on two of the bolts/mounts. :grayno: I chased all the threads on...

I picked up some larger 12 ton stands from Harbor Freight that get the job done pretty well.

Doesn't hurt to try. That doesn't look like fresh, recently flushed fluid to me.
