What did you name your Jeep?

Butters, because it was the only name that made my wife smile. ;)

What's your view like at work?

Reminds me of the guy I saw "working" while I was on vacation: Looks like fun to me.

    12' Gecko Build

Here ya go. Full tank of gas too. 3.25" raised bracket. It's hard to get perfect measurements, but if it's off anymore it's 1/16 or less. I'm pretty happy with it. This is the shock clearance that's close. You can see where it rubs a little during articulation.

SPOTTED: Any 4X4 other than a Jeep JK/JL Wrangler

I can't go a day without seeing one or two here. Everytime I start jonesing for one, I just remind myself of the price tag lol Here's one I saw just the other day at the grocery store:

The Maintaining and Building of Jan the WJ

Put on a roof rack basket this week to avoid bringing a trailer with us camping. Then we took Jan for a drive down to the Buffalo River in AR.

    Which hood latches

This exact thing happened to me on the way through OK. I went with the aluminum Rugged Ridge latches, but also considered the Daystar. I was worried the Daystar would wear out over time as well though.

    The Butters JK Build

Although on Hells Gate I sure as hell wished I had lockers. This is right before I slipped off the passenger side and had to get winched out:

    The Butters JK Build

Yeah, needed a change of shorts. The hood came up a good 8 inches before the safety latch caught. Clean break down the middle. Couldn't find the pieces that flew off, so had to improvise until I could get to a parts store. Then still more improvising even after finding an OEM replacement...

    The Butters JK Build

OK, so I got the upper adjustables in and re-aligned everything a little farther back. I put a raised trackbar bracket in too while I was at it. All of the angles look good and I'm getting no vibrations. The only thing that concerns me now is the trackbar bracket is awful close to the rear...

    The Butters JK Build

Ok, I adjusted the lowers almost as short as they'll go. My stock control arms were 19 11/16, these are now 19 1/8. The pinion certainly looks straightened, but the angle is pretty severe on the negative caster... Haven't driven it yet.

    The Butters JK Build

Alright, I think I need some input here... The new control arms are in. I'm having trouble eliminating drive line vibrations though. I thought this new double cardan drive shaft would be able to handle the angles better than it is. First I tried adjusting the LCAs longer, but that gave the...
