Whichever brand of bumper you chose, my personal preference would be a bumper that mounts the winch low, inside the bumper, rather than on top of the bumper and blocking airflow to the grill. Though in reality it probably doesn't make a great deal of difference, I also like that the winch pull...

They appear to be pretty strong, I've seen pics of people standing on them. This one survived a roll over with only a few scuffs, apparently. I like that they have water drain channels built into them.

Interesting aircraft recently discovered......someone researching the history of an old C47 found it was the lead aircraft on the first drops of D day. Aircraft is heading to Texas to be restored in it's D-day colours.

Congrats on the purchase. Looks good....in fact, thats the first time I think I've seen it parked next to a JK, and the Renegade isn't as small as I thought it was. :thumb:

I noticed a set of them at what I thought was a good price when I ordered some other stuff a few months ago....so I included them with the order. Took me about 30 minutes to fit all three (JK) taking my time. They fit nicely and I like the look. They come with Torx headed stainless fasteners...

And another one qualifies for this .....

Kind of hard to compete with a vehicle that has the incredible aftermarket support of the JK. They'd need to change some of the styling to sell to me.......I really don't like the H2 and onwards. The first ones were and are still cool, just too darned big (wide). lol, hey, GM'll stuff it up...

Have you been playing in mud any time recently? Check the radiator fins for mud stuck between them. In Australia, we can also get this problem running through Spinifex Grass...the seeds get stuck in between the cooling fins cutting down efficiency. Do you have a large winch, lights and brush...

There is an internal O ring.....guy's I've known with ARB leaks that blow air out of the axle vent have had trouble with this O ring.

If you're worried about the axle centres, Rancho makes a skid (bolt on) that allows you to slide on the centre without damaging the casting....I believe AEV (?) also makes similar for the rear. Not sure how useful these are, I have no personal experience. I'm planning on an skid that...

Was close to 100F today, no winter down here in Australia....perfect day for some trails up in the back country. New springs and shocks worked great. This area is in a state forest next to a dam about 2 hours from home.

Yep, me too.....I found an on-line special on two heavy duty equipment bags, they worked out great for carrying and organising gear. One for recovery gear, one as a tool/spares bag.

I fitted up an XRC Atlas rear bumper and tyre/jerry can/highlift carrier. Instructions are pretty good....hardware all seems good quality, with the exception of the two small rubber snubbers.....needs two people to fit, its heavy! The bumper itself fitted straight on, no issues getting hte...

Someone is looking to cover themselves for liability. I've had a number of 4WDs with free-wheeling hubs, and it's never been an issue to run them in 2WD either locked or unlocked. I've never heard this subject being a concern, and just about every "old school" 4WD in Australia runs free-wheeling...

Luckily, Australia hasn't yet caved into the stupidity of these "non-pour" anti-venting spouts and mandatory colours..... We can still buy these...... ....in all their green glory...with the standard flip open caps. :D I need to pick up a pair for my new rear carrier. :thumb:
