I used Rustoleum self etching primer, then Rustoleum satin black paint. I bought one of those triggers for the spray cans. Worked great, looks great, and most importantly (to me), it super easy to touch up. In the pic, sliders and bumpers are all spray can.

Per the OR Fab website, they combat the departure angle issue by raising the tire by 5 1/2 inches. I was thinking the same thing as you, but after hearing no complaints from users and seeing pics and vids from when GCM2 ran one, I think I'm going to go for it.

I ran 285/70R17 BFGs on my rig initially with 3.73s. I used the AEV ProCal to correct for tire size. I can honestly say I saw no difference from stock. Here is my rig with the 285s with no lift... And with a JKS JSPEC 2.0 lift, which netted me exactly 3" of actual lift..
