    Project Wife Beater.

I ordered these front shock extenders a month ago from Amazon. Still no sign of them. If they ever come in I'll have all the parts for the front. Just need to get bump stops for the back also. Nothing major, just a little budget boost. Probably wait to put it on until I get rims and tires...

JEEP TRAIL OFFROAD GPS: What GPS is everyone running?

I use back country navigator. I paid 10 bucks for the pro version that lets you download the areas. That way when you don't have service, it still works. In the mountains I use the 2013 forest service map package. Cal-topo is a little off on the roads here for some reason.

    Project Wife Beater.

He finally showed up, original plan was heated truck lights. But it didn't happen. Figured I better get a set before rigid jacks up the prices. I can handle 400 bucks, but 577 for these is a little too much. Anyways, they are nice enough to include anti corrosion grease now. These seem to fit...

    My Dozer

Took a drive up to the snowy range to scout out camping spots. There was still 4' of snow on the side roads. Passed the red jks jeep up there, but sure what they were doing up there. So decided to go to lower ground by encampment wy. And tried to get all the way up green mountain falls trail...

Where did your Jeep take You this Week?

Went to devils tower, wy. Then swung on over to Mount Rushmore the next day. Really awesome knocking these two monuments off the bucket list. Pictures really don't do either of them any justice.

    My Dozer

So last night wife and kids wanted to do something fun. So I called in and got another two days off. We woke up early, loaded up the white jeep and set off to devils tower. Went for a walk around it. Very interesting monument. After that we hauled ass to hill city south Dakota and staying the...

CONCRETE ARROW QUEST : Search for Transcontinental Airway Beacons

Had some free time today, so I set off into the middle of nowhere in Wyoming. A little town with the population of 240 called medicine bow. Only 60 miles east of Rawlins. This is by far the best one I've found. All I had was my cell phone, so pictures aren't the best.

    My Dozer

So I got the flicker on my passenger side head light. I managed to get the light out without taking off the grill. First observation is there was a gap between the light and anti flicker adapter connection. Bought some grease and zip tied the connection. Fingers and toes crossed it fixes the...

CONCRETE ARROW QUEST : Search for Transcontinental Airway Beacons

Looking at this website, supposedly there was an arrow 7 miles east of my house. I looked on back country navigator and it shows a beacon. So armed with a ½ tank of gas and a cup of coffee I set off to find Sinclair#27. Unfortunately no arrow at this location but there was a concert pad with a...

CONCRETE ARROW QUEST : Search for Transcontinental Airway Beacons

So back to work and when I got to green river, turns out there was another arrow 12 miles west. Little back story, before I-80 there was just the rail road tracks across the country. I guess these pilots used the rail road tracks and referred to them as "the iron compass". Since I work for the...

    Shock lengths database..

Lot of people ask what shocks to get, what lengths. Hopefully this will help find the answers you're looking for. Also may help with bump stop selection. Bump stops do a lot of work and are often overlooked or not understood. They do 3 things. 1. Protect your coils from going solid. Quick way...

CONCRETE ARROW QUEST : Search for Transcontinental Airway Beacons

So I'm at work at green river Wyoming doing some research, come to find out there was 3 within 20 miles of me. For some reason, there are two #15 locations. Not much left of these. The second number 15 was pretty much rubble.

    My Dozer

Zipped tied the lines to the shocks, need to take it out and flex it and adjust. But good enough until then. Busted out the bleed o magic and bleed the brakes. Went to test drive it and lost my key. Spent a whole hour looking for it. Then I remembered...... Stopped by pressing the brake, so...

Pop the clips on the sides. My cheap inch lb torque wrench doesn't go to 276 inch lbs. So Google to the rescue. Banjo bolts torqued and lines on.
