Safest way unfortunately is to get it out of off camber situation driving on the rim if needed, or possible. If not possible and it were me I would ratchet strap the axle to the frame to prevent flex and then jack up from a safe point under the frame or bumper depending on the situation. Would...

So have not updated this thread in a long time... finally did get that 80... still working on those 4.5's though! Here are a few pics. Went with xd60 front and PR 80 rear on machetes with trail grappler 40s, high steer and hydro. Painted the rings, so we will see how long that lasts lol...

Haha. Never used it, but we have big ones at work that are hundreds of dollars (50g kits) and they have the same stuff basically. Good to carry and hope to never use!

Airplane mode, with the GPS enabled would do exactly that (unless you have meeting notifications etc), but I understand what you are saying. The temptation to check it may still be there.

I know you said you did t want a phone gps, but I have to ask why? I have the back country navigator app and it's amazing. I can get pretty much any map out there and it's super accurate and phone battery efficient. No charge needed over 5 days. The attached screenshot it what walking around...
