So you’ll have death wobble just like your JTKnee surgery in the morning. Got me to thinking harder about this.View attachment 439129
Oh I’ve been having that. Got my first shots in ’07 and been on anti inflammatories and pain meds since. It’s been bone on bone for a while but chunks of cartilage are cutting things up in there. Good ol VA care…So you’ll have death wobble just like your JT![]()
Good luck hopefully good as new when you’re done. Several friends have had knee replacement and are better off afterwards.Oh I’ve been having that. Had both mine done at the same time after putting it off for several years, definitely wish I had done it much soonerOh I’ve been having that. My mom just got a knee replacement and she is not able to walk at all anymore. Hopefully the situation will improve.Good luck hopefully good as new when you’re done. Several friends have had knee replacement and are better off afterwards.
Have to be committed post replacement to doing the flex and straightening exercises, it's critical, if it's not done regularly or more (gotta push thru the pain), the scar tissue will make it worse. My mom just got a knee replacement and she is not able to walk at all anymore. My mom is 87. She has been in severe pain for a long time since already falling down and breaking her femer. She has a strong spirit and still insisted on going to the grocery store, and church, even with her knee popping out to the side.Have to be committed post replacement to doing the flex and straightening exercises, it's critical, if it's not done regularly or more (gotta push thru the pain), the scar tissue will make it worse.
If only 1 knee got done and the other was just as bad, the people I spoke to about their surgery (dr referrals) I got the impression that doing one knee at a time was a more difficult recovery as the "good" knee was to weak and painful to put all the pressure on it to help the replacement knee heal; this made me decide to do both at once and glad I did.
My neighbor's wife saw me outside hobbling around 5 days post-surgery and was shocked to see me walking (I wouldn't quite call it that lol), told me her husband laid around, complained about the pain and didn't do the exercises because it hurt... now he can barely walk and because he still won't do the work to break up the scar tissue, he's getting less mobile.
Good luck to your mom, hope she improves
