So, about once every 6 months or so, we totally loose our cable internet in Carson City and just like clockwork, it's been out again for the last few days. Needless to say, I called them out and when we got back, this is what we saw.

From what I was just told, there were multiple lines going to our house - something about how rather than just running new line, previous techs had just spliced in a fix or something. Anyway, this was causing a lot of noise in the line and that causes Spectrum to just shut it off. As in, turn off our service. Clearly, this has been going on for a while now and for the first time, someone finally figured it out.
Soooo, now they're running new temp line so that we have service again and then they're going to schedule a trencher to come out and do a proper fix. This after a dozen years or so of calling them out again and again
