IMG_8621.jpg Had to put my 14 year old red nose Pit down on Monday. She was worn out and I could not stand seeing her in pain and starting to have her mind go. She went peacefully with her head in my lap.
Have been heartbroken since and it’s tough to get over. She was a very faithful companion all those years and we had great memorable experiences through the years. Gonna take a while to get over.
RIP Kahlua

Sorry, to hear of your loss; always heart-wrenching when a four-legged family member crosses the rainbow bridge.

Sorry for your loss man, I sobbed like a bitch for a few hours and was an absolute wreck for about a month after mine went.

I saw Led Zeppelin in 1977. Greensboro, NC. Ticket was $9
The plane was late and they rewarded us by playing for over three hours. We sang Happy Birthday to Bonzo.
That will forever be the best concert of my life, but of course, you can't go back and relive those things the way we can in the digital age.

I didn't know what to expect from the Plant/Krauss show.
I had watched some videos the day before the show, and to me they seemed slow and tired. Plant's voice seemed worn out.
So my expectations weren't great, but we had tickets and we were going.

The weather was perfect, and with both of us being retired, we made a leisurely day of it in Charlottesville, first visiting the Pedestrian Mall downtown and enjoying a late lunch (we call it lupper) at Citizen Burger.

This was our first trip to the Ting Pavilion, so I didn't know what to expect, but I ad paid handsomely for good seats, and good seats were indeed delivered.
8 rows deep and dead center, we were at eye level with the base of the stage. Kind of perfect.

The sound engineers who set this thing up deserve all the credit. They had it dialed in to perfection.
Plant was as good as he's been in 20 years!
At 74 years old, pretty damned amazing.

Alison Krauss sounds like an angel.

The warm-up band was JD McPherson, and they were fantastic! A cool rockabilly sound that goes back and touches Led Zeppelin's roots nicely.

JD also plays lead guitar in the Plant/Krauss ensemble, so you get a few looks at him in the video.

Play it on your big screen and turn it up. It's still nowhere close to being there, but it's pretty damned good.

This was the last show for about a month, then they're back at it.
Shows are sold out, but there's always the resale market.
