392 problems

Little update

called jeep yesterday and they are in the process of trying to get it shipped back to the USA. They can’t get parts for a 392 in Mexico so it’s gotta be brought back. Hopefully it won’t take forever. I’ve thought about going to tow it back myself.

Aren’t those engines built in Mexico? 🤔

I’m sorry to hear that, I hope it works out.

Well I’m heading back to cabo tomorrow with an alternator. They said they still haven’t found the grounding issue but they really won’t look for it because they won’t get payed by jeep for the work even though I told them I would pay and make jeep reimburse me.

Good luck, I hope this will do the trick and allow you to get your 392 home. Please keep us posted on your situation.

The alternator failed on my son's Powerwagon. It was screaming loudly and was very hot but it didn't damage anything else. Hopefully it didn't on yours.
