Got it all dialed in yesterday afternoon. Had to make some modifications to the front Artec skid plate mount since some PSC Steering system brackets get in the way. Many skid manufacturers seem to use the same mounting point for the oil pan skid and will likely encounter the same issue. Had to...
Life stopped the build for about a week. Took the Jeep home and spent some time adding a GMRS radio. Decided to go with a Midland MXT-275 since most of the interface is on the mic. I installed the radio on the back of the glove box and tan a mic extension cable to the bottom of the dash. Used an...
Getting pretty close to the finish line.
some final adjustments, and a few final touches and it’s close to done. Ran into some more issues with backordered parts but for the most past, I was able to find everything
Some solid progress after a week or so of sourcing hard to find brackets and miscellaneous parts. These big builds are challenging far more challenging these days when only half the specialized parts are in stock and vendors are short of labor. Anyways long arm brackets were burned on:
A few...
Some good progress while I’ve been waiting a new front UCA bracket. Got the Borla Climber toexhaust isntalled:
got the rear King air bumps rear genright tube fenders, Artec inner fenders and Antirock installed
got the front shock towers in and PSC steering system mostly in place.
I just bought the Artec aluminum skid plate kit for the JL. Sound that maybe it’s more than I really needed. 🤷🏻♂️ I’m probably 1.5 weeks from being ready to mount them. I’ll throw some pics when it gets to that point.
I’m not sure. I’ve heard it’s > 3 months. I was lucky enough to find this set used. That’s part of why I am missing a bracket. I need a front passenger side control arm bracket as the last owner decided to do 3 link in the front. Artec hooked me up with a bracket that would work this morning...
build got slightly stalled while we wait for some missing brackets. Made some progress on a few more cosmetic items. Rear Genright Tube fenders were installed.
Got all the parts in and decided to make some big changes. I’ve decided to proceed with an Hemi swap but am stuck between a 392 and a Hellcat (maybe even a demon) swap. I have some concerns about hellcat cooling at low speed under load. Anyways while I’m thinking it through, the build is...
Made some progress today. I have to thank Eddie for the time he spends making his videos. Amazingly helpful.
Rotated the sway bar motor.
cut the bumper tusks
installed the quarter pounder.
installed the winch. Last mounting bolt towards the passenger side near the grill must have...
Still waiting for the rear coilovers so I’ve been working on small perforance mods to convince myself not to do a 392 swap.
the first thing I opted to try was the JB4 piggyback computer from Burger Motorsports. I tried one of these on my Audi RS7 as it was the only tune that was undetectable by...
still waiting for the main parts but a few miscellaneous pieces came in. Hard wired the radar detector above the mirror. Pulled power from the cigarette lighter.. Had to buy an adhesive mount form eBay and then modify it to work with the magnetic mount on the Escort Max360. A few minutes with a...
