Hard top storage for the warmer months. Saves space in the porch/shed. Just going to have to keep an eye on top where is resting to make sure the top doesn’t start bending/cracking. It wasn’t fun getting it up there.
Still alive. Got consumed with my wedding at the end of the year and then just got back from our honeymoon this week. Had to wait until spring break to go because my wife is a teacher.
No new Jeep news other than my CEL goes on and off every few weeks for that damn sensor. Soft top goes on...
Nothing crazy here...amateur at best and still learning. Lots of trial and error. Definitely a fun hobby.
Cedar Benches I made for my parents
Boxes and Cutting Boards I made for my wedding centerpieces
P.O. Box Door “Bank” for one of my groomsmen
Finger Joint Jig for the table saw
No major fancy updates lately. I was greeted by a new CEL the other day. WOMP.
...and it's about 9 months late, but I finally finished building my xmas gifts to my parents
....if I use all my used motor oil for heating, then what am I supposed to use for coating my frame to prevent rust?
I've got one of those propane heaters that do the job just fine in the garage. I run it for 20 min or so, then shut it off until I need to warm up again.
I had the bolt size and thread pitch written down somewhere at one point. There was a local mom and pop hardware store that had them stocked actually...but only 1 or 2. I've just been hitting the heads with a grinder to get the socket to fit after eat trip.
Found the square hole on the inside of the frame! Also found the nut...seems like it's tacked down only at the corners.
Just need to get a replacement bolt and then a nut/washer for it.
I've got a set of Evo ProTek Skids on my '14 JKUR. The bolt that goes into the frame on the far passenger side to secure the skid was endlessly spinning today when I went to drop the skid off the Jeep (the rest of the bolts came out fine).
I ended up having to cut the bolt off with a cutting...
