    Cb hook up

For a hard mount vhf/uhf radio you want an NMO mount antenna Here is how my radios are set up I tried to seperate my antennas as much as possible. For what you will be doing an amplifier is overkill. I would say sell it and use the money to get a Kenwood or Yaseu radio to hard mount in...

    Sockets used

Sorry, i couldn't help it. I have a heavy duty canvas tool bag, and i basically take almost all my tools (wrenches, torx bits, sockets, screw drivers, hammer, baling wire, duct tape, electric tape, wire stripers, and wire connectors w/shrink wrap). That has seemes to work, but knock on wood...

    Mojave Road

For anyone looking for info on Mojave Road, here is a quick report on the first 60 miles.... We stated at Avi Hotel Gas Station, and coming from the central coast of California, $2.45 a gallon was a relief. All you from other states can suck it! LOL. We loaded up on some of the goodies in...

    Mojave Road

Anyone been out Mojave Road in the past few weeks? Just wondering if the detour is still in place near Fort Piute. It was there in May when I went last. If anyone is interested I am headed out there with the family starting Sunday the 18th, and plan on spending two days to complete the trail...

    JCR front Bumper

I have a JCR crusader front bumper. I went with this bumper mostly because it was the look i wanted. I have had it for over a year. On my last trip I used the highlift jack points to lift the front passenger side off the ground (no, not to change a tire, dang sway bar disconnect was kicking my...

    Rythmic hum after gear change

I had new gears put in, 4.56 nitro gears. Also had the master rebuild kit installed. Did the break in, 4 heat cycles of mild driving for 20 to 25 minutes. Then had the fluids changed at about 200 miles. I used Amsoil 75w 90. As i was driving the Jeep home i noticed a rythmic hum at 70 MPH that...

    Gear oil

I just added an ARB rear locker and 4.56 gears. Guys at the shop said after the break in period, about 200 miles, they would change the gear oil, and they recommended Royal Purple or Amsoil 75w 90. I got the Amsoil. Now im finding out the i should be using heavier weight gear oil, i believe...

Anyone have pdf maps or just images on their phone of maps for Red Rock? My buddy has a map from a run he did a couple years ago and it doesnt seem accurate. His map shows a Black Canyon Trail off Randsburg Road, but i can not find a trail by that name in the area anywhere on the Web. Any...

    Seat Covers

I was cleaning out my Jeep the other day after installing and cleaning up some previous install stuff. I noticed a wear spot on the drivers seat that up close looks really bad. It's where my wallet would be, but i usually hate sitting on my wallet so i put it in the center console. I'm rambling...

    On board air JKU

I am a true believer in the ARB system. I have filled tires in about 15 to 20 minutes. I believe the ARB I have has a 30 minute run time. I have the CKMA12 ARB compressor. The compressor is mounted under the hood on a Synergy mount. Since 15 to 20 minutes is to long for me i added a Viair 2...
