    Jeep Comms

For years I ran a Cobra 75 because thats what everyone else had. Last year I went and got my ham license and will not CB anymore. Just got back from camping at Rubicon Springs and out of 7 rigs 3 of us had CBs. I told the rest of the group to invest in some FRS/GMRS radios. I had 3 older...

VIDEO : JEEP GLADIATOR Truck Highlights & Close Up Look at the 2018 LA Auto Show

Not necessarily true. I know of a dealer that has killer dealers even on the new JLs. They have a Rubicon MSRP of $52,440 they are selling it for $46k no hassle. I bought my 17 JKU from them and it was a great experience.

Are they officially referring to it as the JT Gladiator or will it be the JL Gladiator?

PSC Big Bore XD? Yes or NO?

This is the kit I would recommend as it gets you the bigger box and includes the ram. I was told by GenRight that the big box doesn't work with their suspension setup so I need to look into that before I pull the trigger.

Factor 55 flat link expert- check your shackles!

Which is why I purchase my recovery equipment, including my synthetic winch line, from a crane rigger who also specialized in off-road equipment. Many people do not have an understanding of how to properly recover vehicles and even those that think they do make simple mistakes like going outside...

Factor 55 flat link expert- check your shackles!

Their system allows you to replace a hook with a closed system which makes plenty of sense. You don't support a doorway with studs on 1 side, you have 2 studs supporting it. Same concept seems pretty simple! Now their setup isn't as quick as a simple hook but no doubt it is safer. There are...

Do you tow your Jeep in a toy-hauler?

ATC just introduced a new fifth wheel. Their initial prototype had twin 8k axles but the production models will all be triple 7k torsion axles. The GVWR on the trailer is a little over 21K and the dry weight is just under 12k. It is the ONLY toy hauler on the market like it. Nobody else comes...

    That is the plan.

    Flatbed toy / Jeep hauler.

You are correct. I plan on taking mine to the DOT to challenge the rating using a 3500HD Silverado truck as a comparison. I have looked at many of the individual components including the engine, transmission, axles, brakes, wheels, tires, springs, torsion bars, etc etc and they are either...

    Flatbed toy / Jeep hauler.

I should also mention that if you have 3rd or 4th generation Tahoe the hitch is built into the rear crossmember. The crossmember is rated at 10k with 1k of tongue weight but people have reported seeing the crossmember flex because it's part of the rear crumple zone or whatever they call it...

    Flatbed toy / Jeep hauler.

I currently have a 24' PJ B6 running tandem 7k torsion axles. I bought the trailer primarily for hauling the Jeep but I also wanted to be able to put a crew cab long bed truck on it if needed. The biggest thing to consider when buying a trailer isn't the length...it's the weight. First thing I...

    Two way radios?

Lots of good information in this thread but some false information as well. CB's are great because they require no license and are pretty straight forward to operate. CB's require a good ground at the antenna and need to be tuned using a SWR meter. Without a solid ground or SWR you will be...

    Satellite GPS Messenger’s

Nope didn't offend me at all, was actually quite comical and so was this last response. I don't take what Eddie or any other resident expert here says as gospel and nobody should take mine that way either which is why I encourage people to do their own research. Hence my suggestion of renting a...
