    So... what about the metallurgy? Hardness & toughness are more important than girth. Seems people understand this when yak'n about drive shafts... Axle tubes matter. Gimme great steel, not phat pipe!

    Just installed the solid core welt. It works, probably better long term, than the hollow core. Both will fail over the years anyway. Use what you can get. My notes: Wow, I had no idea of the amount of leaf, dirt, bug and pine needle debris I would have to clean out... The solid core material...

    Two way radios?

    Antenna length primarily improves reception. A straight wire is incredible at pulling I signal, but doesn't fit in the woods. Mounting low and near the body just grounds out most of the radiated power. Longer length and greater distance from grounded sheet metal are things to consider - more...

    LOL, everything you linked is sold out! You broke Amazon! But there are other options... there's a decent 11 piece nylon tool set (holds up better than the other plastics) & there is a solid core version of the rubber tube. Ordered that and it's here now - have to wait for the weekend to see...

    Hello from St Lou

    Got my first Jeep back in 89. M715. Still have the old dog. Owned nothing but Jeeps since. Recently acquired a 2 Door JL Rubi - my first short wheel base Jeep. I think it's a long term keeper; so the mods shall begin!
