You should be fine. I've run mine with 37's and 3" (ish) sticking out all over the west and haven't had any issues.

As others have said, I don't think you would go wrong with either one. I've been running the Ridge Grapplers for a few years, and they have been great. I've had them in compact snow and ice, deep snow, sandy trails, muddy trails, gravel roads, and multiple long-distance road trips.
