I thought the same things..interested to hear opinions.
Ultimately I went with claytons even though I initially wanted on ride adjustment, but after going through the exercise I didn't find it horrible and the jams have stayed put. Keeping the love in my backyard was also a consideration for me.
Had stock bfg's ...then Goodyear mtrk's ....now Toyo RT's.
Have no complaints with the Toyo RT's in 35x12.5x17. After 10k noticing a bit more slippage on wet roads but I had that with all of them...light two door here..
The RT's barely needed any balancing compared to the other two...nice on...
A few months after I bought it ...winter was here....daughter and I out trouncing the snow....she aptly named it SNOBALL. Very fitting for the northeast , not the most masculine of names but how could I deny this face....not possible

Let's call it 50$ because you have to get a lift point for the thimble end which 5/8...so I got a 5/8 to 3/4 stud basically from tractor supply, it's sturdy and extends to 42 or 43
