Hey Jeepsters. I bought off ebay what is supposed to be the plastic cover that hides the wiring harness on the drivers side just after the door cut out. It's almost 10 inches long and requires 3 small screws..the problem is that it's hard plastic and will not mold to the contour of the body as...

That's what I'm starting to think too. I just thought that with so many others out there doing the conversion there would be more out there about it and/or a prefabbed bracket you could buy.

I can notch out for the exhaust pipe but the primary issue is the bracket being too short as well to reach those two bolts.

I think your right. I know back when they were 15 inch wheels and I think the tire they cam with was like a 29" high or something like that so they were not very wide with that height

Thanks. Knowing me, I'll probably run around without the doors but I knew I'd want them later at some point as an option. May as well have them painted at the same time.

The body and parts are finally off to paint. Looking more and more like a jeep again. Added the striker pins though so I can use the half doors. What do ya think?

I'm hoping I can get some help on this. I figured one of my brothers out there may know. I search and search and all I can find are plastic fender flares. I want the rubber fender flares identical to what the CJ7 came with in 1979. Can anyone help?
