Backlash was set to .7 and pinion shim was .045 and this was the pattern on the set up.
As you can see I’m not really sure on what went wrong..

I’ve been trying to come to a conclusion as to what happened to this gear set. Has anyone seen similar damage like this to a ring gear? It’s somewhat similar on the pinion as well.

So I called Yukon and they said they “lapped” them at the factory. Usually I get gears from g2 with that coating you were talking about without being “lapped” so this is where my curiosity was. Thanks everyone

I bought a new ring and pinion from Yukon and when I opened it, it was used. I’m thinking maybe they did a test with it or.. has anyone ordered from Yukon and got brand new gears never ran?

So I'm doing new gears and everything is out of the axle except the pinion bearing race and outer race. I've tried taking them out using a punch and hammer and hitting the sides, but that was not happening. Can anyone share what they did?

I also have this pic to go off of. I guess I just need to buy a switch and 16 gauge wiring. From my understanding I just cut the fuel pump control output wire and feed the new wire into where I cut and connect it to the switch?
