A thought to daily handling... When backing, if the trailer is short, you gotta be good.

If I could weld, I'd build a three-way coupler, trailing arm suspension and put surge brakes w/ a lockout solenoid on it. A leaf from a leaf pack(cheap) could suffice as both spring and main arm of the trailing suspension(use that grey matter) and, possibly, also as a skid to keep the wheel...

I'm new to Jeep builds but not the Jeep brand. Started in '94 with an XJ and followed a few vehicles later with another XJ, a '98. Both were purchased new. The first, a Sport 2dr, off the showroom floor. The second was special ordered, also a 2dr. The second one was rolled, quite unexpectedly...
