Ya that could be. In 3.6 pentastar, does it have cam phasers? my 11 f150 does and this problem exists with it too. And it was a major costly endeavor to “fix”. (It wasn’t fixed just new parts waiting to go bad again). I don’t think ford ever did a good fix with the first gens of the ecoboost...

I’m interested in trying something like this. What year jeep and do you have any idea on part numbers or anything?

So for some reason I’m all in on this frame swab adventure. I’m on the rebuild now. I’m at the point of new fuel pump and putting in the gas tank. Drivetrain is mostly back in. Then maybe work on those rotten body mounts. the phots you can see the frame cracks and the bent spring bolts as well...

So the 84’ it’s more accurately a 94’ wearing 84 grill. rotten frame. Rotten body mounts. Transmission grinding, and wrong springs. (Previous owner put cj springs on and didn’t realize it needed 94 springs).
