Toyo MT's are one of the toughest I have seen or used. They are heavy but this translates into thick side walls as was mentioned. I have a set of 35' which never let me down which gave me confidence buying a 40" version.
For aggresive looks the Nito Mud Grappler.
Here are my Toyo's.
Awesome video Eddie! Good for you not being afraid to explore a narrow trail. Paint scratches can be fixed, which is why I prefer Bedliner over paint.
Here is a short clip from about 5 years ago. Note: The owner of the 200 acre property was inside my Jeep and any trees that were cut along the...
I'll add some close ups later.
My brother traveled across Europe and visited many factories. He brought back some models I wanted.
Lion Steel in Italy, Puma in Germany and the list goes on.
Breathing this stuff is NASTY. I only know from grinding and using a torch.
I cut out a project made out of aluminum and it was even worse.. Like it was said, coughing up black shit and having a serious swore throat.
Thanks for the responses guys.
Oh ? Makes sense. I don't like to skimp on safety gear.. Some may laugh but I don't care. I will be using a respirator also.
I will do some research on a good hood to get.. Perhaps I'll post my findings here.
Cheers.
You have to love the case on the Multimatic 200. Have you looked at the newer 215? Some people seem to be raving about it (on welding forums).
The 215 is only a couple hundred $ more than the 211. I'm new to welding, would anything other than MIG be any good to me ? Or would I just confuse...
I will take a look!
Did everyone learn them selves ? I see there is a ton of videos online that can teach you. Anyone have any favorites ? I unfortunately don't have a welder that can show me. I did basic welding in Automotive school but that was basic.
I guess tube bending and metal...
I was wondering about the "auto" feature. It sounds like using a DSLR camera, "auto" works but you will never truly know the camera and will not get great results in many situations.
Miller it is!
I have 220V ready to go. Miller does seem very popular.
I'm looking at the "Millermatic 211". I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post a link. What do you guys think of the specs ? Or save up for 212 which is like 600$ more ? I was hoping to be completely set up for under 1500$usd.
I notice most manufactures don't offer high stingers (far over the hood).
Those of you that wheel and experince narly ledges, slopes etc. Do you feel a tall stinger could prevent an endo or further damage during a role over ? I'm not refering to physical appearance but the safety aspect.
For...
Krown ranked high on the Canadian Millitary study. You can read the whole study they did as it's available in PDF format online.
I checked out the details on the Monstaliner site. I agree that the chunky rubber fillers are annoying but I found using a paint brush solved the issue as the large...
