The rubi shocks or the OEM aren't stiff enough? If you're referring to the current stance in the pic, it's soft alright. The original shocks are still on it and the leaf springs look like a shitty deck of cards. The passenger front spring snapped off at the bushing:)
Hmmm, I'ms till a couple weeks away from reassembling with new shocks and springs, I may just sell the Rubicon shocks and go with 'OEM'. I can't wait to get this thing rolling. Thanks for documenting your adventure, very inspiring!
Hey piginajeep, did you have to modify the jk shocks to fit your FC mounts? I have a set of rubicon shocks that I'd like to put on my FC -150... your suspension setup looks similar.

Alright experts, I'm actually making the trip out tomorrow to take a look at the FCs this guy has in his inventory. Any advice on what to look for on the inspection? I'm comfortable looking at fluids, etc for correct color and consistency. I can look at the frame for integrity and get a feel for...
I know! It actually looks like it's been kept well. Air in the tires, clean glass and headlights, makes you think someone's been looking after it. Seems like it's got a story, I'd probably keep it close to as-is.
I'm thinking crazy thoughts tonight, been in touch with a guy who says he has three FC170s for sale and sent me pics of two. He says they run and I'm seriously thinking about going to look at them for my possible first restoration project. Huge learning curve if I decide to do this, I've never...
I have to say, watching and reading about all the awesome adventures you guys have with your rigs makes a Minnesota man jealous as hell. Sure we have a lot going for us but I think we can all agree that a Jeep destination we are not. However, I just came across this article that could change all...
Having a hard time deciding between the Classic, X-Style and Low Profile hoops, does anyone run one of these on their 10A bumper or have any experience with them? Anybody wanting to get rid of theirs? Pics would be great!
Nope, no rubbing whatsoever. I have a 2012 JKU sport with 19/59 springs and rubicon shocks. Sorry I can't show you what it would look like with a lift, these are the best pics I have. Currently on the road without my ride[emoji107]:
Hey all, wondering if anyone has one of these in good shape that they're looking to get rid of? Would be friggin fantastic if you were within range of a road trip but I'd be willing to pay for shipping.
