Pets are people too.

the Pit is not my dog. Hes a dog that was abandoned at the hospital I work at and I fell like he is mine. Basically stares out the window all day

We went to the 4wp show in Puyallup with Emma our 11 week old Border Collie, the again to the Triple X burger Jeep show this morning in Issaquah, where a number of people already knew her by name from the 4wp show. She is certainly loving the attention!

Not a pet, this is my MWD Zoey from the deployment I just got back from. Hard to spend a year with her 24 hours a day and then have to give her up when I got back to the states. She will always be my Hero! She was briefly on an episode of Alpha Dogs recently.

My girls love going to a hotel. This was a night to rest on our way to 4x4 beach at the Outer banks. They were very glad to be out of the JK backseat for a while.

Wait. I thought working dogs stayed with their handlers to unify bond between them. You aren't her permenant handler?!

Nope, some MPs will keep their K9s for a long time, but with my Job there are not enough K9s to go around, so when we are back from deployment, the dogs get evaluated and train up with another handler, then straight back to Afghanistan. When I got there, the MP patrol dogs were doing the same thing.

There might be a better way to go about this? As the actual thread title is a bit bold, but you knew that already I'm sure.
