Suds of the Day

While I was in West Virginia, I was able to source a Yuengling, a regional beer brewed in Pennsylvania. The newly elected Democrat Governor of the state is boycotting this company, the oldest brewery in the nation, at his inauguration because the owner of the company is a Republican who favors right to work. Cheers!

For you Yankees scratching your heads wondering what's so special about Yuengling, here are a couple you may not have seen before.

Mikkeller Santa's Little Helper 2014, a limited edition Belgian ale with seasonings and chocolate.

Grand Teton Brewing Vintage 2014, a blended beer. It's quite a production. Read about it here.

These two were December offerings from my Rare Beer Club membership. They arrived while I was away, but luckily my relatives left them unmolested. I've gotten behind on posting pictures of my Suds of the Day, but not to worry. I have not gotten behind on my beer drinking. Cheers!

Just snagged:

4x Stone Enjoy By 02.14.15
1x Old Rasputin Imperial Stout
1x 4 pack of 077xx
2x 4 pack of Six Point Hi-Res

...and my wallet is now considerably lighter!

I'm a big fan of six point but iv never seen the hi-res before now I have something to look for. 🍻

Six-Point makes great stuff. From what I've seen, Hi-Res is usually around during winter for a few months. It's definitely one of my favorites. It's a triple IPA and comes in gold cans (4 packs)...but is definitely on the pricey side at ~12$ per 4 pack, whereas their "Resin" that they sell year round is a double IPA (and cheaper).
