What in the actual fuck, since covid the socialists and America haters hiding in other countries have long been planning for the fall of America.
The protests are far from organic; we are witnessing a full-on attack on US soil by brainwashed US citizens under the guise of "peaceful protesting", this is an insurgency that needs to be stopped.

Hope you can before they begin taxing anyone for leaving or even worse, require approval to leave.

Also, don't they currently continue to tax if your pension was earned in California even if you move out of state with their “source-based” income tax system?

Yeah, they tax if you sell your house and leave the state within six months, and apparently, Robyn’s pension will be extra-taxed when we leave California. F this state.

If there is a way to track travel distance without revealing location, that may make more cents than gas taxes. Necessary road maintenance is not closely related to fuel consumption.

The article makes it seem like the state does not already know the odometer readings. The odometer reading is taken as part of annual registration. The odometer reading is also taken in most red states due to federal laws. For newer vehicles (e.g. JL Wrangler), the manufacturer already knows the odometer reading due to built in telemetry which operates over 4G/5G cell service.
