I've become way more discriminating with what I listen to podcast-wise. There are so many me-toos out there and they are all interviewing the same damn people. It's just like when the "insiders" all went on the Sunday morning news program tours.

I prefer the long form conversations on some of the podcasts as long as the conversation is interesting & something I want to learn more of, but some of these folks just talk & yuk it up to hear themselves. Lex Friedman has some good ones. Rogan is good when it's not the comedians or UFC stuff.

That's just thing. There are only a handful of shows that are worth a listen and the rest are just blah blah blah, me too repeats of all the same BS and guys who are just in love with their own voices. And really, this isn't just my opinion. With the exceptions of the Joe Rogan's out there, the podcast industry is in a major decline and I don't see a recovery.

What I could never understand is the niche markets like Jeep podcasts. I've been asked countless times to be a part of these shows and I tried listening to a few just to see if it was worth it and OH MY FRICKIN GOD, I just wanted to stab myself in the ear they were so lame and boring. But then, that's just me.

Yes - Literally every day I get atleast 2 emails about some DEI related stuff. If you can be a DEI hire - they will fast track you in. Merit and credentials do not mean jack anymore - they want to fill the varied identity checkboxes. I guess you can always self-identify as (insert x minority group here) lol. There is such a thing as "trans-racial" nowadays ya know. :ROFLMAO:

I do not really care where someone is from - what their sexual orientation is or whatever their religion is. Where i draw the line is when I am told I need to participate in some one else's fantasy (pretend) so they do not feel bad. Its really sad to see where the country is heading - you cannot say sir or madam in the military anymore. Shoot i remember last year someone tried to report that the American flag hanging on my cubicle made them feel "uncomfortable & unsafe" - without getting into detail where I was at, it should not have even been a thing. If your going to work for the government - try and stick to defense (they are the least moronic) - public sector has gone full retard. I don't know of any industries anymore where people care more about the work/business they are in - then forcing people into an ideology and fantasy. Maybe the trades ? Fabrication ? Welding ?
