Cleaning up our new to us 2013 Denali XL 6.2. Made it fit in the garage. My first GM product since my 68 RS/SS Camaro back in the 80s. Wish me luck. View attachment 382011 View attachment 382012 View attachment 382013 View attachment 382014 View attachment 382015
My wife had a regular size '07 Yukon Denali with the 6.2, we put close to 170K on it before we got a new one.
Issues I had:
leaky rear main seal which is super common on the LS3 block casting it would drip about 3/4 of a quart between changes maybe they remedied that by 2013. I just lived with it and never had it fixed because it was going to be such a big job.
The body molding on the doors came loose & looked like crap, I ended up just removing them all together. I saw several Tahoe's & Yukon's with the same issue.
The fly by wire throttle body had issues near the end, after replacing it I had a hard time getting it to re-learn the proper idle speed but eventually it started running right.
They're hard on brakes too, every time it needed brakes the rotors were heat checked and had to be replaced

We gave it to my sister in law in 2018 & they have put an additional 30K on it since, it still runs strong.

This is good to hear. We wanted no payments and something bigger and comfy.

I’ve been looking for one. Haven’t found a decent deal yet though.
We have been looking for a Tahoe/Yukon for a long time too. Didn’t really want the XL/Suburban but it was too good a deal to pass up. We wanted something my wife could easily get in and out of. The Subaru was just too low and was tough for her to get out of. It also had payments. This one has the factory electric running boards that are extremely helpful for her. I help her up in the Jeep and gravity helps her out. Lol.

Yeah the used tahoes are like gold around here too. I’d rather drive the XL and pay a lot less than pay that much for a regular.

I had a panic moment the other day, it was 18 degrees when I was on my way to the shop & realized we never added any antifreeze in my project truck. The drain plug on the block felt like it was going to strip out so I ended up just siphoning out a few gallons of water & replacing with antifreeze. A quick hotwire and warm up cycle should have mixed everything up

PXL_20221120_180118445.jpg this has been my home project lately, used to be a screen porch. I didn't do the windows and doors, made more sense for me to have someone do that as they did all that plus siding in 3 days. Did new fans, osb, flooring and quarter round. PXL_20221120_180121028.MP.jpg did some work around this door to dress is up a little. Not nearly as nice as overlanders stuff but it's done to the best of my abilities. Cleaned up tools and stuff since these shots. It's going to be a play space for the kids plus homeschool space. Well worth it to go from a mostly unusable space like it was.
