Texas School Shooting Today

Guns, bombs, knives, aren't going away.

Assholes aren't going away.

Shitty Parents aren't going away.

Mental Illness isn't going away.

Ignorance isn't going away.

Crime isn't going away.

Violent Media & Entertainment aren't going away.

Put armed guards in schools, patrol the entry points and check bags.

Everything else is just argumentative Bullshit that gets nothing done in the short term.

Bam! Truth bomb.

Wow! Spend a day at the ballpark with your family and come home to this gem of a thread. I skimmed most of the drivel...read it all before.

So....

With respect to preventing these types of crimes, where do you all come down on eugenics and mandatory sterilization programs? Please, discuss.

I'm all for ending certain gene lines...

I’m all for a parental entrance exam... found a little boy about two or three years old wandering in the parking lot of Incredible Pizza tonight. Walked him back inside and found his parents. Were they frantically searching for him (mind you we were in the parking lot with him for about five minutes) no, they were standing in line waiting to check in for a birthday party. When we told the “dad” where we found him the “dad” just shrugged it off, as if to say “oh well”. I lost my mind on this shit bag.

Oh how I love irony. This thread, while it attempts to “solve the problem”, is actually the embodiment of the problem with our modern society. This thread does nothing more than illustrate the complete lack of understanding of law and fact, the social tribalism, the fallacy of the slippery slope, and the unwillingness to actually engage in meaningful discourse with the intent of growth...that have collectively put our great nation into its current state.

An average of 682,000 hit-and-run crashes occurred each year since 2006.

But since virtually Everybody uses cars it's not something one group can try to take from others.

Unfortunately people look at this stuff with their emotions instead of trying to really figure out a real solution. The idea of "Gun Free Zones" is absurd, it's like telling the bad guys come here there's nobody to stop you.

Just a couple of days before the Texas shooting there was another shooting that nobody heard about because it was stopped by a school resource office with a gun and that doesn't fit the agenda.

I went to a trap and skeet shooting competition yesterday where there were over a hundred junior high and high school kids competing. These kids were very responsible and respectful to the people around them and their gun safety was top notch. Almost all of these kids had both parents involved in their lives and the parents were attentive to their children. Hundreds of guns in the hands of young boys and girls in one place, I never felt unsafe for a minute.

Same thing with all shooting sports. Action pistol, Cowboy Action, even 3gun competition which is predominantly shot with (gasp!) AR-15 style rifles and (gasp!) high capacity semi-auto pistols and shotguns. This unfortunately has nothing to do with the problem at hand. Short term is school security as previously mentioned. Long term( and I do mean looong term) is a much more difficult equation for our society and our children's own accountability to each other. Tell someone if you see something or hear of someone that's out of wack. Be a tattle tale, the life you save may be your own. We have a pretty self absorbed generation and social media is their preferred way of communicating. They all walk around staring at their phones and parents have little knowledge of what they are looking at. Be nosy parents! Talk, listen, educate and discipline your children! Gun control is not the answer. As difficult as it would be to enforce, the real answer is 1000 times more difficult and more complex. It is a change in our society and the way we think. Just like this thread we pick out portions of statements and exploit them in order to further our own agenda instead of coming together for a solution. We segregate ourselves further with every word. Ugh! So frustrating.

^^Truth, we as parents have to choose the hard right over the easy wrong. I heard a quote, can’t remember from who, that said parents should be parents to their kids, not their friends they have enough of those.

When i was in HS in the 70s in south Texas, there were kids with rifles and shotguns in gun racks in the parking lot everyday.
Don't remember anyone ever using one to solve there problems!

Speaking of lobbyists, look at Planned Parenthood. They're killing millions of children yearly but the mainstream media doesn't put those stories in our faces. Luckily more state legislatures are waking up and doing something about those children.

Curious...if your wife blows you and swallows...is she killing half a kid or is that lost in the moment?

It was still like that in the 90’s. If someone felt like an outcast I guess they just went home and screamed into a pillow.

It was like that in the 2000's too. Not until all this bullshit me too, I don't know what gender I am and the pussification of america did all this shit start. You didn't like someone when I was in school you met across the road at some apartments or the McDonalds and fought. Or did it in the hallway. Nowadays people just want to put labels on everything. Fucking stupid.
