I try not to use poison because of our cats. I put eucalyptus oil on rags in the engine compartment. I may put stickie traps in at night.

In my area the rats eat the poison and die somewhere they cant be seen but still get smelled like in an AC vent or inside the fender somewhere. They're also damn near too big to trap because they will run off with the trap after it gets them, even those big ass snap traps. We figured how to tie the traps off so they cant get away though.

I put thin cable on mine to tie them off. Otherwise yeah the run off and get wedged in weird places.

Weather report for Death Valley per your request…Furnace Creek daytime hi low 60’s…nighttime mid 40’s, a little wind…20 degree sleeping bag was fine.
Titus Canyon & Lead Fields nice…but just drove through.
Stovepipe Wells hi low 60’s, nighttime hi 30’s…20 degree bag and one thick wool blanket.
Lippencut nice…drove thru.
Saline Warm Springs daytime mid 60’s…nighttime was cold, low to mid 30’s…could have used a 2nd blanket on the bag…would suggest two bags one inside the other

how was the condition of Lippincott from the race track? Was thinking of going through that one of the days. I’ll have my trailer. Any big wash outs?

There is only one tight turn on the shelf road…with my wheelbase on Brute it was a three point turn…but you’ll be fine, even with your trailer
