Oil filter o-ring question

I changed my oil last night and forgot to change the o-ring on the oil filter cap. Big deal? Should/Can I open the filter housing up while it’s full and change it now?

Not a big deal but you want, you can remove the cap and still change it.

I kept the new o ring for a spare on my last oil change and put it in with my tool kit. I’m not sure I’ll never need one but figured it wouldn’t hurt to have an extra
