Lodging recommendations for Virginia City, NV

We are looking for lodging recommendations in Virginia City, NV.

This is for mid- April timeframe while we are passing through after EJS. We would like to stay in the downtown area so we can see as much of the old town as possible and enjoy adult beverages without driving. We would prefer the old school hotels as opposed to the newer places.

Also if you have any advice on cool things to see we appreciate it.

After some online research we are thinking the Tahoe Hotel would be a good choice. It has a good location that will allow us to walk to most places in town.

I am so sorry for not seeing this sooner. If you were to still stay in Virginia City, I might recommend the Silver Queen or the Gold Hill in Silver City.

As far as Tahoe goes, South Lake Tahoe?

EDIT: sorry, I see that you meant the Tahoe Hotel LOL. I think that would be nice too.
