Practicing some social distancing with a hike at Long Lake State Park in Dundee Wisconsin. Most of the small glacial kettle lakes are still iced over:

Ascending Dundee Mountain which at 250’ is hardly a mountain, but a large Kame left by the melting glacier:

These erratics were loaded with marine fossils. According to my Geologist Brother-in-law this is from a silurian reef around 430 million years old:

Are you sure those fossils aren't tribbles?...you do know the trouble with tribbles...

When I bought my Jeep, the first place it went was over Loveland pass, at 12,000 ft.....

Years ago, me and a buddy did a snow climb here. I just found the old grainy pictures. This was probably one of the most adventurous hikes that I've done and probably had some of the best views that I've ever experienced. All day hit with constant cold wind but well worth it.

That looks so cool and hard core. Last year we hiked a 14er when were in your nick of the woods. I love that state.

It is really amazing up that high when it’s clear. If I had time to get back into one more sport, it would be mountaineering. But there’s only so much time.

Awesome pictures! Sounds like a great time, but I’m sure it was hard to keep going at times.

Hi! I'm new in this forum (please see here for my introduction: https://wayalife.com/showthread.php/...er-since-2007) Nice to meet you all!

Here are some photos from my Cerro Aconcagua mountaineering expedition. Cerro Aconcagua is situated on the border of Argentina and Chile in the Andes. It is the highest mountain in Americas and the highest outside of Himalaya-Karakoram range with the elevation of 22,837 ft. I just made back home from Argentina - Chile in February, right before the global shutdown from the Covid-19 pandemic.

Also, I added some photos from Kilimanjaro, the highest in African continent, and Mt. Rainier in WA. I love mountaineering of all kinds, and I've summited most of the California 14ers including Whitney (various routes) and Shasta as well a many mountains in WA Cascades.
