Ruidoso is definitely in New Mexico. Drove near there today. Seems like maybe 3 hours drive from Texas?

I grew up in Roswell and we used to always joke about Ruidoso being in Texas due to all the Texans that spent time there. Looks like it is about 4:45 from Lubbock.

Last time I headed west, I stopped at the Chisos mountains… didn’t even make it out of Texas

Certainly, Big Bend offers quite a lot more mountain than the Houston area
