2009 Jk EGR valve ongoing issue…

Just curious if anyone has seen EGR valves lasting only about a year? I have changed mine 3 x in 3 years… I used the Napa auto one which I read is pretty good… I did change out my PCV valve before the latest EGR valve swap out about a month ago for the first time and that PCV valve looked nasty…hoping that will make the EGR valve last… Any thoughts would be appreciated.. thanks for your time and keep Jeepin…..

Late reply... just ran across this thread while browsing at lunch.

I changed my EGRV 3x in the space of about 6 months (2011 JKUR, 85k miles). Got to where it was a 20 minute job. Lol... When I got another code after the 3rd install, I started looking elsewhere for the problem. A "hunch" (and some good advice on this forum) led me to replace the plugs & wires. The wires were probably fine but I just wanted to be sure... the plugs did need replacing though. It's been well over a year since then, and no more EGR codes!
