Hopefully with Mitch the turtle McConnell stepping down, we'll get a strong senate majority leader. Last thing we need is someone like Cornyn in that position.

I partially agree with you. I'm more referring to my state specifically, where our senator in question is not a senior member, and will try to block Trumps agenda. Just seems to me that voting for Trump and then voting for someone who will go against his policies is not an "intelligent" decision.

What bothers me is the ballot splitting. Why would someone vote for Trump and then vote for the democrat senatorial candidate? If you like Trump, wouldn't you vote for the senate candidate that shares his policy views? Why vote for the democrat who clearly stands against him? Blows my mind.
